S. Michael Rose

S. Michael RoseMichael Rose's career has focused on complex civil litigation and jury trials. His clients have ranged from individuals to corporate entities such as Chevy's, Emcor and Costco to local municipalities and agencies. Michael currently represents clients in medical cases and complex litigation as well as insurance coverage disputes. Michael's practices areas include motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, wrongful death, professional negligence and malpractice, and business transactions and litigation. Recent cases include medical product litigation in the federal panel on Multidistrict Litigation, state and federal RICO defense and state and federal medical malpractice and product litigation, and representing the State of Nevada as special counsel in the United HealthCare - Sierra Health Systems merger in 2007-2008.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Rose clerked at the United States Department of Justice and was the judicial clerk for the Honorable Robert P. Jones. Michael is licensed to practice in the State of Oregon, the Oregon federal district courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Michael has helped draft articles on medical litigation, prepared educational seminars and given presentations on the topics of HIPAA and health care confidentiality. He is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Washington Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice. Michael's interests include raising two children, running marathons, reading, designing and making art-glass projects, politics, baseball and football.
